This very special table lamp has a unique style that your might remember seeing in a bank in days gone by. To prevent the traditional shaped shade from being bumped and broken in a busy bank the shade on this lamp is very short and tucked in at the bottom. The base, made of sturdy iron, opens up at each end and to attack to the shade with arms that reach out from the center of the base that provides the light and pointed fennel at the top which secures the shade.
The shade is comprised of a Victorian scroll design of yellow and green with accent of orange copper-foiled stained glass and red and burgundy cabochons. Brown vertical lines of stained glass meet with brown horizontal lines near the bottom of the shade to outline the piece. Small white glass pieces at the bottom allow more light for check writing or other endeavors. Finally small tassels embellish the lamp.
