The subject of this wonderful ceiling pendent fixture is our course dragonflies which spread their wings in flight at the bottom of this 24” shade. The wings of the dragonfly are black and white and their bodies, in their flight they pass through a yellow field of stained glass at the top of the shade, then a blue field and finally a green field of stained glass.
However, what gives this shade it dazzle is the 96 cabochons that are inserted all over the shade. The are placed to catch the light from any direction and provide that extra spark to this lamp.
This lamp is hung from a simple chain and can provide a little dazzle to any room. Dragonflies are as popular a style for Tiffany-style lamps today as they were when Louis Comfort Tiffany was producing his Tiffany lamps over a century ago. Some things just go together and dragonflies and Tiffany lamps are one of those things.
