This dainty little Victorian lamp has a smaller 16” shade and a definite feminine touch. The curved features of this lamp remind one of lace. The shade is curved with an ill regular edge formed by the curved design. The lamp also has a curved base which is supported by four curved legs. The top of the shade is surrounded by a straight upright edge which combines with the curved shade to mimic a mansard roof which is crowned with a bird like fennel which includes a red cabochon which is but one that is worked into this elaborate design. The small bits of red and purple in the design are matched well against the yellows, tans, grays, light greens and roses which add balance to the color scheme. This lamp would be a great addition to a woman’s dresser or desk.
