This Iris ceiling pendent fixture has a 19” shade which features Irises which are a very distinctive flower. Humans have loved this flower so much down through the centuries that the goddess of humanity bearing the name Iris.

The design of the lamp is composed of blue-violet irises weaving their way to the top of the shade on yellow stems against a white background. The distinctive sword shaped leaves of the iris make it easy to identify in the garden on a lamp shade. The blue-violet color of the iris is also distinctive; in fact the color has often been named after the plant and is also known as – iris – as is a part of the anatomy of the eye.

The handcrafted shade contains copper-foiled stained glass pieces along with 30 cabochons. This shade is also available in a torchiere floor lamp combining these two lamps in the same room makes a wonderful design statement.
