The star of this shade is the dragonfly with the blue body and grey wings that comes flying into the top of this shade against a yellow background. Other dragonfly shades feature dragonflies but do not show them doing what they do best – flying! The surroundings that this dragonfly has flown into are quite colorful. At the bottom of the shade looping blue lines pass through a grey background, fans of red, orange, red and white are all worked into the design as are 42 cabochons which provide a sparkling effect to this handcrafted floor lamp. This lamp makes an ideal reading lamp. The round stylized base accepts a metal pole that supports the shade which is secured with a pointed fennel.
